The city of Bentonville unveiled a mural Friday, created by thousands of elementary school students.

In April 8,416 first- through sixth-grade students from Bentonville Public Schools each created a piece of art, and then laid their works down together making one big mural. The works were scanned and placed on tiles now on display on the side of the wall outside of T.H. Benton's, a coffee shop located in downtown Bentonville.

The mural is eight feet tall and one hundred and seventy five feet wide, so each child can see their own picture. The mural was officially unveiled at a ceremony at  6:30 Friday night.
