Did you know there's a bamboo garden in Fayetteville?

Saturday, the Omni Center for Peace Justice and Equality held its seventh annual Gardens Tour.

It showcased nine gardens, and each tour had something special to offer.

The Bamboo Peace Garden features stalks of bamboo, statues and benches, while blooming flowers decorate the sidewalk in the Heartwood Gallery Garden.

Gardeners say the beauty on these grounds is a great place to simply relax.

"We all need a place that is peaceful, or a place that is a refuge, a place that is a sanctuary where you can relax after a busy day," says gardner Hamsa Kurth Newmark.

The tours were self-guided and dedicated to the late Nick Masullo, a folk music artist who lived in Northwest Arkansas.
