Police: Elderly Magnolia Woman Murdered inside Her Home

Magnolia Police are looking for clues after an elderly woman was found murdered inside her home over the Memorial Day weekend.

The son-in-law of Glenda Stroman, 74, found her body on Sunday, police say.

Stroman's neighbors are still trying to come to grips with why anyone would want to kill her.

"She was a very fine Christian lady," says one neighbor. "I can't imagine anyone would have anything against her or would want to hurt her, she's just that kind of person."

Stroman's son-in-law went to her home after her family had not heard from her since Friday.

"She was in the house unresponsive at which time they determined that she had already expired or was deceased," said police.

Police say there was no forced entry to the home.

While they're not sure of the motive, police say they're looking at the possibility of Stroman's killing being drug-related.

In the meantime, neighbors are fearful of the thought there is still a murderer on the loose.

"I've always felt very safe in this neighborhood and now I'll be a lot more cautious now," says one of Stroman's neighbor.

Police are not yet releasing details about how Stroman was killed. A cleanup crew was at her home Tuesday removing blood from her bedroom.

Police say they have a few "people of interest" and they're hoping to make an arrest sometime this week
