Some local artists are gearing up for a very special event this week.

Several of the people participating in the Life Styles program are also very talented artists, and their works are hanging in the BHK Kafe on Dickson Street in Fayetteville as we speak.

Each piece of art is up for sale.

The proceeds are split down the middle, with half the money going toward Life Styles operating costs and half going to the artist.

You can even meet the masters themselves this week!

Life Styles is hosting an artist reception on Thursday, May 31 at BHK Kafe.

The event starts at noon and runs through 1:30 p.m.

Life Styles helps people with developmental disabilities learn the skills they need to find a job, take care of finances, and be a productive member of society.
