A wild backyard sighting and a ferris wheel record.  It's news stories that have gone Over the Edge.

A Florida homeowner got an eyeful while looking out in his backyard, he saw a bobcat and immediately ran to get his camera. That's when something else caught his eye. It was a ten foot long Florida gator! homeowner Bryan Peabody snapped photos as the reptile gracefully and silently approached the cat. The bobcat was able to get away making it a lucky day for both the bobcat, and the backyard photographer.

An uninvited guest caused quite a scare for students and faculty at a California middle school. A black bear was caught on surveillance video sprinting across campus. He stayed for only a minute but his appearance caused quite a stir.  An elementary school was placed on lockdown and the nearby middle school's graduation ceremony was put on hold.  The bear jumped the school's fence and headed towards an apartment complex.

A Los Angeles police detective set out to break a world record by attempting to ride a ferris wheel for over 24 hours! Detective Gus Martinez  is raising money for the Special Olympics. His son Jason has won over thirty Special Olympic gold medals in swimming competitions.
