Scull Creek Trail is getting a little bit safer.

The city's adding the final touches to new signal lights on North Street, between Gregg and Leverett Avenues.

Tomorrow, lights will be set to flash mode to introduce the new system to drivers and trail users.

A button on the side of each trail crossing controls the lights. Traffic will flow as normal unless someone pushes the button.

The lights will become fully functional on Wednesday.
