Summer Cooling Programs Start Soon in Northwest Arkansas

Energy assistance programs will soon be starting up to help families pay for summer cooling bills.
The Equal Opportunity Agency of Washington County will kick off its program starting July 9th. Clients can come in and apply. People will be chosen for assistance based on their household income and other factors.

As for Benton County, those looking for help can go to the Office of Human Concern. That program also starts July 9th. Those needing assistance can come in, fill out an application and do an interview with a worker to see if they qualify.
