Movie Makes Millions and the Supreme Court Makes a Decision

Tropical Storm Debby
Tropical storm Debby drenches Florida. The system weakened slightly Monday, packing maximum sustained winds of 45mph. The storm is practically parked in the Gulf of Mexico. The center is not expected to make landfall over Florida until Thursday.
"Brave"
The fiery redhead Merida, heroine of Disney and Pixar's "Brave," won hearts at the movies this weekend. It was the top box office hit with an estimated $66.7 million dollars in ticket sales, nudging "Madagascar 3" to second place. The film grossed $20 million dollars.
"The Newsroom"
"The Newsroom" premiered on HBO Sunday night, drawing in nearly 3 million viewers. The show is written by Aaron Sorkin who also wrote the "West Wing" and last year's hit movie "The Social Network. It stars Jeff Daniels as a cable news anchor.
Anniversary of the Death of a Legend
The legend lives on as Monday marks the three year anniversary of Michael Jackson's death. "The King of Pop" died from cardiac arrest in 2009. The LA coroner ruled it a homicide, and his doctor, Conrad Murray was found guilty of involuntary manslaughter. According to the coroner, the 50 year old died from a fatal combination of the surgical anesthetic propofol and sedatives that were administered by his doctor. Murray has been behind bars since November. He must serve two years out of his four year sentence in jail. Jackson's mother, Katherine, has permanent custody of his three children.
U.S. Supreme Court
The Supreme Court of the United States ruled on the controversial Arizona immigration law. Many say it is a victory for both sides of the debate.
