On Tuesday, cowboys and cowgirls took part in what is known as slack night. Slack night is the where the overflow cowboys and cowgirls from the other events compete in barrel racing and other rodeo competitions.
One woman who vied for the prize is Tara Lee Woodall. She drove twelve hours all the way from deep in the heart of Texas all to Springdale for Rodeo of the Ozarks. Even though this was Tara's first time to Rodeo of the Ozarks, she didn't want to leave empty handed. "Tonight I hope to come out number one. Whenever you pull in you don't come for number two or number ten or even a little bit of the money. You come in for number one," she said.
She added "It's what we love to do. We're all kind of adrenalin junkies. We love the excitement of the crowd, the speed, and winning the money."
If you're wanting to come out to the Rodeo of the Ozarks, there are many events planned. Click on the link below for more information!
