Cold War on College Ave. Continues

By: Channing Barker
Updated: July 3, 2012
In June, the Fayetteville Planning Commission granted an extension for Shave the Planet to stay in its current location on College Avenue in Fayetteville. Within a few days, the owner of Maggie Moos- the business just four hundred feet away from the shaved ice stand- filed an appeal to the extension.
Tuesday night, the Fayetteville City Council heard the appeal from the Maggie Moo's owner. After folks stood and defended and rejected the appeal, the city council decided to table to appeal until September. Thus, Shave the Planet will stay on College until the appeal is heard.
