The Sheriff's Office created a large garden using donated seeds and feed earlier this year.
Inmates are tending the garden, and recently had their first harvest. Zucchini, squash, tomatoes, bell peppers and onions are just a few of the fruits and vegetables growing in the garden and all the fresh food is donated to the Northwest Arkansas Food Bank and the Salvation Army.
According to the Sheriff's Office, 1,209 pounds of food have already been delivered.
