Kids in Fayetteville will soon have a new and improved place to play!

Gordon Long Park on North Gregg is getting a makeover.

The city started the project this week.

New swings and sidewalks are in store for the park.

According to a press release from the city, the new swing structure includes four belts swings, one toddler swing and one all-inclusive, ADA-accessible swing and wood mulch safety surfacing.

The construction is expected to wrap up in August, but city workers say families can visit the park during the work.

The existing equipment at the park is still ready for kids, but parents - make sure they don't wander into the construction area!

Updates on the park's construction will be posted on the City of Fayetteville website or you can call Fayetteville Parks and Recreation for more information at (479) 444-3471.
