Steven Tyler to Leave Idol
Steven Tyler has decided to depart his role as judge on "American Idol" Referring to the show as his "mistress", Tyler says it's time for him to let go and return to his "first love", his band Aerosmith. The shows creator Simon Fuller says he was proud to have the rock star grace Idol's stage and understands his desire to get back to his life as a singer.
Stones Turn 50
The Rolling Stones turn the big 50. Fifty tears ago Thursday, the British rock band performed their first show at the Marquee jazz club in London. The group gained fame, not only for their music, but for their hard partying lifestyle and high profile relationships. A new book about the band, called "Rolling Stones 50" is being released to commemorate their first gig.
Yahoo Hacked
Hackers posted online what they say is login information for more than 450,000 Yahoo users. The breach impacted users of Yahoo voices, an online publishing tool. Yahoo apologized today and urged users to change their passwords regularly. They said less than 5% of the breached accounts had valid passwords.
Blake Griffin
Blake Griffin, forward for the LA Clippers, is reportedly suffering a left knee injury during a scrimmage for team USA on Wednesday. USA basketball will call up the 2012 NBA number one draft pick, New Orleans Hornets Anthony Davis to replace Griffin.
Sandusky
A scathing report out Thursday in the Penn State sex abuse case. The school's board of trustees hired Louis Freeh last year to perform an independent investigation into how top school officials handled allegations against former assistant football coach Jerry Sandusky.
