Even though prices at the pump have dropped an average of about seven cents over the past three weeks, some analysts say prices are likely heading back up.
The Lundberg survey of fuel prices puts the national average price of regular a $3.41.
Jackson, Mississippi has the lowest average price at just $3.00 a gallon.
Chicago has fuel for $3.78, making it the highest in the nation. Lundberg says high seasonal demand and the rising cost of cruse will likely mean the end of lower prices at the pump.
In Northwest Arkansas, fuel is still below the national average.
The Sam's Club in Fayetteville is selling regular fuel for $3.18 a gallon.
In Springdale, you can fill up for a little less at the Kum and Go on Thompson, $3.13.
Murphy USA in Bentonville is charging $3.11 a gallon. Gas is going for $3.12 at the Kum and Go in Rogers and Murphy USA in Siloam Springs.
