Monday night, a re-vamped home was unveiled. Nearly 100 volunteers, worked for 5 months, spending nearly $40,000, re-doing a Huntsville house for a pastor.
Non-proft organization 'A Level Up' helped rally Madison County to give Pastor Jack McCarty's home a face-lift, free of charge.
'A Level Up' founder, Ron Harris said, "It's about seeing what people can do when they come together to make a difference for someone else."
"This represents what it means to be a family here in Huntsville, the church, community, and businesses."
McCarty spent several years as a youth minister in Harrison, but recently moved to Huntsville to pastor his own congregation, but medical problems have hindered this leader, leading folks to help him out.
McCarty said, "We don't feel like we are worthy of it. It's something we never anticipated."
McCarty's wife Janice said, "No words could ever express my thoughts of people doing this for us."
"The people around are wonderful, we love the people from our church and then all of the people who have just helped on this, it's just God moving them to do it for us, we can never express our thanks."
She added that his home will help this family's purpose, "It will free us up to maybe do the work we are supposed to here in this community."
The home is nearly 100 years old and for the first time it will have central heating and air-conditioning.
The McCarty's plan to move-in this weekend.
