Walton Brothers Continue to Support Wet County Petition

The effort to legalize alcohol sales got another financial boost in June from the two Walton brothers who have now contributed $360,000.

According to a report filed with the Arkansas Ethics Commission, Tom and Steuert Walton contributed $15,000 each, to the group Keep Dollars in Benton County last month.

The latest contributions bring the total amount of each man's contributions up to $180,000 since January.

The report also shows a payment of $43,269 to National Ballot Access, the group hired to collect the signatures needed to get the issue on November's ballot.
