The Farmington Public Schools Superintendent has released a statement following the arrest of high school principal Chris Webb.

Bryan Law said the district plans to begin it's own investigation into the allegations:

"I am currently out of the area and I will not return until this weekend. I have been informed of the allegations that have been brought against one of our staff members. At this point I cannot comment as I have not had an opportunity to look into these concerns. We will begin an investigation immediately."

Police arrested Webb early Thursday morning on several charges including assault and animal cruelty after they said they found him naked and covered in blood holding a woman by the throat in a bathroom at his home.  There was a dog with it's neck slit in the bathtub.
