A lot of folks in Fayetteville are welcoming home furry family members.
July 20 was Free Cat Friday at the Fayetteville Animal Shelter and workers say they had a pretty good turnout.
More than 40 cats and kittens were adopted, but there are still many more looking for loving homes!
"We find that we adopt out so many dogs, but sometimes our cats get overlooked and they're great animals. They're coming to you spayed or neutered, microchipped and vaccinated, so not only are you saving a life, it's a really good deal," says Justine Middleton, Fayetteville's Animal Services Superintendent.
If you missed the free felines on Friday, don't worry.
Adopting a cat or kitten on a regular day is still very affordable! Only $20 bucks and again, they're all spayed or neutered, vaccinated and microchipped.
The Fayetteville Animal Shelter is located at 1640 S. Armstrong in Fayetteville and is open Monday through Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
