Several Athletes with Arkansas Ties Have Olympic Medals

Several Arkansas Razorbacks are competing in the Olympic Games, but several Arkansans have won medals in the past.
Here are a few of those medalists:
Mike Conley Sr. is a member of the U.S. Track and Field Hall of Fame. Conley is a former Arkansas Razorback. Conley won a silver medal in the 1984 Los Angeles Games, and a gold medal in the 1992 Barcelona Games. He won both medals in the triple jump.
Little Rock's Jermain Taylor is the former middleweight boxing champion of the world. In the 2000 Sydney Games, Taylor won a bronze medal in boxing.
Former Razorback basketball player Joe Kleine has a gold medal. Kleine won as a member of the USA Basketball Team in the 1984 Los Angeles Games. Kleine is currently a basketball coach for UA-Little Rock.
Little Rock's John Hargis won a swimming gold medal in 1996 Atlanta Games. Hargis was a member of the U.S.A.'s 400-medley relay team. Hargis is currently the head swimming and diving coach at Penn State.
