Haynes Getting on the Defense

"Going into Spring the big thing was our guys learning a new terminology," defensive coordinator Paul Haynes said. "That's not an issue anymore."
Haynes got his hands on the Arkansas defense for one game in 2011, where the Hogs showed exponential improvement.
"To me to be a good defense you got to be able to tackle. Most of the time big plays happen because of a missed tackle or 2. We will focus a lot on tackeling and stopping the run."
The Razorbacks finished a subpar 51st in total defense a year ago, making matters worse is Alonzo Highsmith, the units top returning player, who is yet to even practice in 2012.
"I know he played a lot for us last year, but he still needs a lot more reps. This fall camp is going to be huge for him as far as getting back in the groove."
