The United Way of Northwest Arkansas kicked off its Stuff the Bus Drive Thursday with a big donation from Walmart.

The group is collecting school supplies for local students and teachers, and Walmart handed over more than 3000 backpacks to help the non-profit get started

Starting tomorrow hundreds of volunteers will set up in front of eleven local Walmarts, hoping to collect enough supplies to fill those backpacks.

"Were going to be all over the place and we hope to have a big turnout this year for tax free weekend," says Julie Petree of the United Way. "Any thing helps, pencils, glue sticks, anything."

The volunteers will start collecting donations Friday from 11am to 8 pm and continue Saturday from 10am - 3pm. For more info on where you can find them, or how to get one of the backpacks for your child, call the non-profit's information line at 211.
