Friday night dozens of kids were locked in a local gym and using the Olympics as inspiration.

Friday night nearly 50 children spent the night at Regional Rec. in Rogers.  The gymnastics gym hosted its first ever Red, White, and Blue lock-in.  In addition to a night of fun and plenty of jumping and flipping, it was also a night devoted to the Olympics, as the Summer Games were shown on a big screen.

Hailey Mason said, "I expect it to be really high fun."

Early on this night of gymnastic glee exceeded all expectations.

Eliza Adams, "It was going to be very super awesome, but its much more than super awesome."

Ansley Damron said, "We are going to be watching the Olympics and cheering our home team on."

In the middle of all of the fun, young boys and girls spent time watching fellow Americans competing for their country, and earlier in the week the gold medal winning U.S. women's gymnastics team, may have helped some of them realize a dream.

Damron said, "I hope some day to be up on that floor."

Mason added, "They make me want to be an Olympian.  They do many things that if I were to keep going, I would probably be an Olympian."

Priscilla Ramirez said, "My mom tells me to look at them, and try to do what they're trying to do, and just be better."

A Star-Spangled lock-in that's more than just a night of Olympians, it's a night of gold medal inspiration.
