New jersey Mayor Arrested
 Trenton , New Jersey mayor Tony Mack has been arrested on corruption charges. The FBI and court records show Mack may have accepted bribes during an undercover sting operation. The mayor, his brother, and his associate are all facing the charges.

 People.com's sexiest man alive is taking a gossip girl as his bride.  People magazine confirms Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively tied the knot in South Carolina over the weekend. The pair have been together for just over a year.

Jay Leno
 The popular "Tonight Show" host has gained some fans, he's agreeing to take a 50%  pay cut to save the jobs of some of his staff. But don't feel too bad for Leno's new paycheck, he's still pulling in more than 15 million dollars per year.

The Chicago Teacher Strike
 More than 350,000 students had an unscheduled day off of school today when teachers called a strike. Talks have begun between the educator's union and Chicago school officials but the school officials say they have nothing left to give. With more kids roaming the streets, Chicago police have taken men off of desk duty to increase patrols.

The Presidential Race
 A new survey says President Obama has moved up four points following the Democratic National Convention last week and now has a six point advantage over Mitt Romney. According to a CNN international poll released on Monday, 52% of likely voters nationwide are backing the president, and 46% are sticking with Romney. Before the two conventions the candidates were tied, both with 48% of voters.
