One Killed, One Injured in Carroll County Accident

A Berryville man dies in an accident in Carroll County Friday afternoon.

It happened on Highway 221 just north of Berryville.

State troopers say Earl Rowland, 72, was driving southbound and lost control of his car on a curve.

According to investigators, Rowland crossed the center line, side-swiping one vehicle and hitting another head on.

He was killed in the accident.

Allie Hatcher, 39, was injured and taken to Mercy Hospital in Berryville.

Troopers say everyone involved in the accident was wearing a seat belt.
