The airline subleases two gates at LAX from Delta, but a construction project at the airport forced Delta to take the gates back.
Now Allegiant is looking for another airport in the region so they can start the flights back up, according to XNA's airport director Kelly Johnson.
"Of their three destinations from XNA, those were their most profitable," Johnson says. "They want them back as well as we do."
The last flight is scheduled for November 11, and Johnson says the service probably won't start back up before the end of the year. Allegiant also offers direct flights to Orlando and Las Vegas.
