Arkansas junior center Travis Swanson speaks with the media Monday to discuss the Rutgers loss and preview the Texas A&M game.

Quotes provided by UA Sports Information.

C-Travis Swanson (on how he is handling the start of the season) - "I think everyone handles different things differently. We had high expectations coming into the season and this is kind of a shock to all of us and we are trying to figure out what we need to do to fix everything. Do I think the season is over? No, not at all. I think it's still just beginning and we can still turn this season around and make it a great one."

C-Travis Swanson (on the team's attitudes) - "To begin with we came out yesterday and we had a team run and everyone was positive, morale was high and there wasn't one bad attitude. Someone might have thought there would have been. That shows signs right there. When you look at the film it's just the small things, like what Tyler Wilson was saying. As far as our side of the ball producing a touchdown and changing the game, so it's not anything drastic. It's just like a blown assignment. It's just the small things."

C-Travis Swanson (on the team's mood after the game) - "I thought both Sundays we came out, yesterday and the week before, everyone was just positive and you might think following that Saturday night there were guys with their heads down, which would be understandable because if you lose a game you are going to be upset. As far as I can say about that is everyone was positive. I don't think there was one attitude out there."

C-Travis Swanson (on the problem establishing the run) - "If I could pinpoint it on one thing then we'd be able to fix it. It's just something that you have to keep working, and working and working at. Like years before, it's not something that is going to happen overnight. You just have to come every week to practice with a positive attitude."

C-Travis Swanson (on if there has been finger pointing on the team) - "There hasn't been any finger pointing going on on this team, which has been good. I know we emphasize it and the coaches emphasize it. There is no reason to finger point. This is a team. It's not one person. That makes the game what it is. Everyone is positive in the huddle. Even when it was Alabama in the fourth quarter there wasn't one bad attitude, and I feel like especially on Saturday night (vs. Rutgers) we kept fighting, and we kept fighting and we kept fighting, which was just good to see."

C-Travis Swanson (on the run blocking) - "It needs to get better, obviously, which is another thing like I was saying just to come out and get better this week at practice, emphasize that, work on it a little bit more and maybe stay after practice a little bit longer just to work on it and make it a good point for us."

C-Travis Swanson (on the offensive line meeting with QB-Tyler Wilson on Monday afternoons) - "Especially this year we have really emphasized that as coming together as a unit to try and see everything to make sure that we are all on the same page, to see certain tendencies."

C-Travis Swanson (on establishing the run) - "It would help if we could establish the run to take some pressure off of not only the receivers, but us up front. When the game goes on and you pass, pass, pass you get a little hint at that. In order to relieve that from us we need to establish the run."

C-Travis Swanson (on WR-Cobi Hamilton's record-breaking night) - "You could see it multiple times that he would catch the ball and just take off downfield. It's the reason that he's the great player that he is, he broke the record. He had a phenomenal game."

C-Travis Swanson (on playing in Texas) - "I like going back to Texas. As far as being up here this team is undefeated in Texas, putting the Cotton Bowl in that category as well, so I know we are going to take some pride in that. It's not any game that you will get more hyped up for than another one. It's the first SEC road game so there is no reason to not be excited."

C-Travis Swanson (on the comeback against Texas A&M last year) - "We all just came together at halftime. I remember going in there at halftime and people weren't yelling. It was just a very positive atmosphere. No one pointing fingers and then when we came out there we made a couple adjustments here and there, but nothing major and we just kept fighting."
