Northwest Arkansas Community College getting some help with its nursing program from a local hospital.

Washington Regional Medical Center gave the college $250,000 to benefit the school's Center for Health Professions.

The new building will allow the school to expand its nursing program, and other health related disciplines.

The gift will be used to buy the newest technology available to create a nursing simulation lab, that mimics a hospital room, so students can see what they're getting into.

"That's the goal, for them to have a hands on, closely related to what it's going to look like in the real world, opportunity to train," says NWACC President  Becky Paneitz.

The center is expected to be complete later this Fall, and classes should start in Spring of 2013.
