Bacon Shortage Bull
Here's some good news, a writer for Slate.com has debunked the bacon shortage rumor.  He says the so-called shortage is just a slight increase in meat prices, similar to the increase in corn prices we've seen because of the drought. The writer says no such shortage is likely.

The Search for Jimmy Hoffa
The disappearance of Jimmy Hoffa is one of the great American mysteries and police are still attempting to solve it. Police received a tip that a body was buried at a spot in Michigan around the same time the teamster's disappearance in 1975. Now they plan to drill outside a suburban home outside of Detroit to follow up on the tip.

Google Maps and Apple
iPhone 5 users may be out of luck when it comes to their maps application, Google's CEO released a statement Thursday saying they aren't taking any steps to add a Google maps app to the Apple store. One of the main complaints people have with the new iPhone 5 is the faulty maps application. For the new phone, Apple created it's own maps application instead of partnering with Google as it has in the past. Now they may be paying for the decision.

Johnny Lewis' Death

Lewis recently got out of jail on charges of assault and has a past of criminal activity. Police say drugs may be to blame for the rampage that lead to the "Sons of Anarchy" star's death.
