Women Helping Women

Christian Women's Job Corps of NW Arkansas is an outreach ministry which equips and encourages women in need to develop life and job skills. In addition to life skills training and job readiness training, we provide some support for immediate needs.

Statement of Faith

We believe in the Trinity, God as Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit, and the Bible as the divinely inspired Word of God. We believe that man was created in the image of God. We believe that salvation comes through grace by believing in Jesus Christ as the only begotten Son of God, our Savior, and Lord. Once saved, the Holy Spirit indwells, thereby instructing, guiding, and empowering the individual to follow the mandate of Jesus Christ in daily living.

Organization

CWJC of NW Arkansas has based its organizational structure on a successful national model - Christian Women's Job Corps, a ministry of Women's Missionary Union, which started in March 1, 1997. CWJC has over 200 sites across the U.S. as well as some international sites. There are currently four (4) sites in Arkansas:

  • Arkansas River Valley Baptist Assoc. in Russellville
  • Fort Smith CWJC
  • North Pulaski Baptist Assoc. CWJC in Sherwood
  • CWJC of NW Arkansas

Although each CWJC site is autonomous, we share a common purpose: bringing women to Christ and improving their home and work lives. We are an interdenominational ministry that believes sisters in Christ, which may attend a variety of churches, can share in the outreach ministry of Christ together in our community.

CWJC of NW Arkansas is operated by a volunteer Board of Directors, trained Site Coordinators, and a dedicated group of multi-talented volunteers. We are a non-profit organization registeredwith the State of Arkansas, recognized by the IRS as a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status entity.
