Students - much like everyone else - glued to the TV on Wednesday night-- as Barack Obama and Mitt Romney went to head to head on multiple issues.

Before the debate, U of A political science professor Patrick Stewart gave a keynote speech to some students.

He described ways various types of humor can be detected during debates.

Professor Stewart has actually written a book on this topic.

He showed a variety of clips from past debates - using them as examples Stewart believes this can add insight for viewers.

We spoke with students afterward, asking them if something like this changed the way they watched tonight's debate.
