Tuesday, October 9th is the last day you can register to vote in the November election, making it a busy day at the Washington County Clerk's office.

"Our phones are ringing off the hook everybody's wanting to register to vote, which is a good thing," says Karen Combs Pritchard, the Washington County Clerk.

Because tomorrow is the last chance to register to vote in November's election.

"My suggestion to everyone is bring it to us that way you know we receive it," says Pritchard.

The county clerk's office in both Washington and Benton counties close at 4:30 p.m. but if you want to mail in your form, it just needs to be postmarked by Tuesday.

"You really don't need anything to register to vote, you get one of the applications, fill it out and you sign an oath when you do, that you are a citizen, you are 18 and you've never been convicted of a felony, unless you have been pardoned."

If you've already registered and just want to make sure your information is correct, you can log onto Voterview.org or just call the county clerk's office, they can update addresses over the phone.

"I have seen a lot of election processes."

Karen Combs Pritchard has been the Washington County Clerk for 10 years and she a strong believer in the process.

"We encourage people to vote and we don't get but a 60 to 65 percent turnout. To me, I think it's a terrible thing for people not to vote."

So to be sure you have the opportunity, she's asking folks to give her office a call to make sure all information is correct before election day.
