Kids across the state are learning more about Arkansas history through theatre.

The fall tour of Digging Up Arkansas kicked off Monday at the Walton Arts Center.

The play makes students a part of the story and teaches them how communication, cooperation, courage and culture have shaped the Natural State's history.

The show will travel to schools all over the state, reaching more than 7,000 students with over 60 performances.
