The Cardinal-White series splits the Razorbacks into two teams that play a best-of-seven
series for bragging rights in the clubhouse.
The
pitching matchup for game one of the series features freshman right
hander
Trey Killian for the Cardinal team against sophomore right-handed
pitcher Chris Oliver of the White team. Killian, who played his high
school baseball at Mountain Home High School, was a three-time all-state
selection and was selected to play in the Under Armour
All-American Game. Oliver pitched in 11 games in his freshman season and
had a 1-0 record with a 3.86 ERA.
In
game two, senior left hander Tyler Wright will toe the rubber for
Cardinal,
while redshirt senior southpaw Trent Daniel will get the ball for White.
Wright appeared in 16 games in 2012 and had a 1-0 record with a 2.60
ERA, while Daniel was 2-0 with one save and a 5.06 ERA in 21 outings.
Sophomore
left hander Jalen Beeks will start on the mound for Cardinal in game

transfer from Crowder College, Beeks pitched in 19 games last season and
was 6-3 with one save and a 3.32 ERA. Fant went 2-3 with a 3.27 ERA in
15 appearances during the 2012 season.
Offensively,
the Cardinal team is led by junior infielder Dominic Ficociello,
who finished the 2012 season with a .290 batting average to go along
with six homers and 41 RBI. His home run and RBI totals placed him
second on the team. Sophomore outfielder/infielder Joe Serrano hit .333
with seven RBI in his freshman season. Serrano was
a regular in the Razorback starting lineup during the postseason and hit
.444 (12-for-27) with two RBI during Arkansas' NCAA Tournament run,
including going 5-for-13 in the College World Series.
On
the mound, the Cardinal team features a pair of standout junior right
handers.

11 saves and a 1.99 ERA, while Colby Suggs appeared in 30 games and had a
7-1 record with a 1.38 ERA.
The
White team is led at the plate by sophomore infielder/outfielder Brian
Anderson,
who earned freshman All-SEC honors from SEBaseball.com. Anderson
finished his freshman campaign with a .283 batting average with two
homers and 11 RBI. In league games, Anderson batted .346 with two
round-trippers and nine RBI. The White team also includes

record with three saves and a 2.43 ERA. Stanek, who earned All-SEC
