City Files Suit Against USA Metal

By: Cassidy Hodges
Updated: October 10, 2012
The city of Siloam Springs is taking a recycling company to court hoping to get the operation out of the city.

The suit was filed Monday, seeking an injunction to stop USA Metal Recycling from operating at its facility on Kenwood Street.

The city says the business was operating without the appropriate business license for the past few years.

In April, the business volunteered to relocate with a city set deadline of October 6th.

On September 25th, the business requested an extension that was denied by the city because they weren't making a "good faith reasonable effort to relocate."
