Football Brawl!

A brawl between rival coaches of two California youth football teams was captured on video and then posted on YouTube, where it is generating hundreds of views.
"I was pretty shocked," Octavia Thomas said.
Thomas said she posted the video of her stepson's football game after the coaches engaged in a fight when the game clock expired -- in front of players, parents and cheerleaders.
The game took place Saturday, October 6 at the Grant High School field, Thomas said.
She said her stepson plays football for the Grant Chargers, and the brawl happened with the visiting San Francisco Junior Forty-Niners; both teams are members of NorCal Youth Football and Cheer.
The video shows one of the coaches charging the other on the field, immediately after the game had ended.
The coaches were "not being good role models," Thomas said.
She indicated the Grant Chargers come from a tough neighborhood and that families look to youth football as a positive activity for kids.
Bill Herenda, executive director for the Positive Coaching Alliance, a group dedicated to showing how good sportsmanship can create "better athletes and better people," Herenda said.
"We talk in our workshops about teachable moments," said Bill Herenda,executive director for the Positive Coaching Alliance, "and this is a teachable moment in that you cannot model that type of behavior."
After seeing the coaches openly brawl on the playing field, Herenda said, "This is egregious. It's really the antithesis, and a blown opportunity to reinstate what's right with athletics."
