Update: Rogers Hit by Tornado According to Nat'l. Weather Service

According to the National Weather Service, it appears a tornado touched down in Rogers Saturday night at around 9:37.

However, no tornado warning was issued by the National Weather Service before the storm hit.

No injuries were reported.

The Rogers Fire Department said several buildings were damaged in the 600-700 block of S. 52nd Street.

Firefighters said the buildings were still structurally sound, however there was significant damage to the roofs and exteriors.

The department is asking people to stay away from the area until it is cleaned up.

Also, there are reports of downed trees in the Garfield area near the intersection of Highways 62 East and 72.
