Passenger numbers were obtained from airline advanced bookings and cover a six day period from November 22 to November 27. The busiest travel days of the period will be Wednesday (November 22) and Sunday (November 26).
Airport spokesman Philip Launius reminds passengers that the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) has limited the amount of liquids, gels and aerosols that may be placed in carry-on luggage. In order to expedite the security screening process, TSA reminds passengers to follow the 3-1-1 rule:
All liquids, gels and aerosols must be in a 3 ounce or smaller container, the containers must be placed in a 1 quart, clear, plastic, zip-top bag and that only 1 bag per passenger is allowed.
For those passengers needing them, Little Rock National supplies the correct size plastic bag at a station located just before the entrance to the passenger screening area.
In addition, passengers are reminded not to wrap any gifts since the packages would have to be unwrapped in case they need to be inspected by TSA.
The airport`s Customer Care Representatives and Airport Angels volunteer group will be on hand to provide information and assistance to passengers. The "Mail Back Program" enables passengers who arrive at the airport with prohibited items to mail them back to themselves for a minimum $2 fee.
