Number five -- Bob Ross' birthday.
Today we celebrate the life of the famous painter who hosted the popular show "the joy of painting" -- a program that ran for more than a decade on PBS.
Ross left a mark on the art of painting and inspired many to pick up the hobby.
Ross died in 19-94 after a long struggle with lymphoma.

    Number four -- Pastor killed.
A pastor of a church near fort worth, texas is dead after a bizarre incident.
You can see a car crashed into the church earlier this morning.
When police officers arrived to investigate, they say they found the driver beating the pastor to death with an electric guitar.
The officers tased, then arrested, the driver.
Police are investigating the motive of the attack.

Number three -- Sandy brings snow.
West virginia getting hit with a snowstorm after hurricane sandy rolls in.
State officials are reporting blizzard conditions in at least fourteen counties...
A state of emergency has been declared.
There's also flooding being reported in some areas -- and forecasters expect it to get worse overnight.

Number two -- Horse mask jogger.
Local news coverage of sandy has already brought us images of windblown correspondents, people boarding up buildings, and now  -- a man jogging shirtless wearing a horse head mask.
Though we don't have any information on the jogger's motives -- we do know the horse mask is a popular symbol online.
Websites like reddit feature people wearing the mask to remain anonymous -- just proof that even a potential historic storm is no match for tomfoolery.

    Number one -- Hurricane Sandy.
About 60 million people in the us are doing their best to prepare for hurricane sandy ... But it's a tough task as the storm is gaining strength.
The superstorm could be unprecedented, and it's already causing flooding, snowstorms, and leaving millions of people without power.
Hurricane sandy has killed at least 67 people so far---most of them in haiti as it went through the caribbean last week.
Officials urge those on land: Evacuate if you are asked, stay home if you're not.
