Number five -- October jobs report.  The economy added more jobs than expected in October.  The closely watched report from the labor department says 171,000 non-farm positions were added to payrolls.  The report also showed average hourly earnings actually fell by a penny.

Number four -- Apple's iPad mini tablet hits store shelves today.  Analysts think the new version will sell as many as 1.5 million units this weekend alone.  The device starts at $329.  The fourth generation larger ipad is also making its debut.

Number three -- The CMA's.  Country stars united for the 46th annual Country Music Awards.  This year's show featured Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley as the hosts.  Blake shelton and his wife Miranda Lambert made history by winning female and male vocalist of the year for the third consecutive year.

Number two -- New York City Marathon controversy.  Mayor Michael Bloomberg under fire early Friday for pressing ahead with this weekend's New York Marathon in a city still reeling from superstorm Sandy.  Some New Yorkers saying holding the race would be insensitive and divert police, generators and other resources when many are still suffering.  Then after numerous complaints Friday afternoon Mayor Bloomberg cancelled the race -- saying he did not want the controversy to distract attention from the recovery efforts.

And number one. -- A new poll shows the race for arguably the most important battleground state remains very close.  According to a CNN/ORC international survey released Friday, President Barack Obama holds a three point advantage over republican nominee Mitt Romney in Ohio.  50 % of likely voters questioned in the poll say they are backing the president, with 47% supporting the former massachusetts governor.
