On stage and bringing theater to life. That's the goal of "The Village Players".

"I hear the laughter, I hear the comments of the ones who're in the front row and I love every moment of it," said Sonja Redwine of The Village Players.

The group has been around for nearly 30 years and brings people together in Northwest Arkansas for community theater.

"What we do is put on productions. Different types of productions from full 3 act play to variety shows," said Patrick Kunnecke of the group.

The group also helps out the community by donating scholarships to students interested in theater.

Kunnecke said, "We feel that if we're getting proceeds coming from the local community to put on the shows that we should give something back to the community."

Members of The Village players said they are always looking for new members to join the group.

"

You get so much more out of community theater than just be able to work on stage or backstage," said Sonja Redwine.
