Springdale Woman in Labor Casts Vote on the Way to Hospital

By: Amanda Ashley
Updated: November 6, 2012
An act of democracy - in between contractions.

Mandy Williams of Springdale went into labor when her water broke early Tuesday morning. But a baby on the way wasn't going to stop her from participating in election day.  On the way to the hospital, she and her husband stopped at her polling place at Baptist Church on Turner Street.

She says if she can vote while in labor, anyone can! She is also saving the "I Voted" sticker for the baby book.
