It was a race between two mayors and Fayetteville seems to have made their choice. Mayor Lioneld Jordan will get another term.
Former Mayor Dan Coody conceded late Tuesday night during his watch party.
"We've really enjoyed working with everyone and it's been a great experience, and Fayetteville is a wonderful community to live in and we're still going to love living here. So, I'm really pleased and proud of the folks who have worked with us on it. I want to congratulate the mayor and his team for doing such a good job on their election. We're all in this together and it's a great community and thank you all very much."
Each candidate worked hard to win votes through the election season, participating in live, public debates and duking it out for the 2013 position. Coody was elected as mayor in 2001, served until 2008, that's when Lioneld Jordan took over.
