With their new majority in the state senate, GOP lawmakers spent Thursday naming a new committee chairman.

They picked Michael Lamoureux as President Pro Tem. And within the last half hour, they just finished up picking all ten committee chairmen.

The state senators we spoke with said they thought the process went smoothly. We caught up with state senator Jeremy Hutchinson before he was officially picked to head up the judiciary committee and we asked him what's going to be on their agenda.

Republicans won 21 of the 35 senate seats in Tuesday's election.  It's the first time since Civil War re-construction that gop has held a majority in the Senate.
