Shocking child abuse in Oklahoma, and Facebook is making some decisions for you. Here's what's trending on Tuesday's edition of "The Pulse".

Text Messages on the Decline
For the first time in US history, the number of monthly texts has fallen. Now, that's not saying much considering the average cell phone customer now sends 675 texts a month compared to the 700 they were sending earlier in the year.  But, apparently, we're not communicating less, just finding cheaper ways to do it

Shocking Child Abuse
People across the country have taken to the interwebs to express their shock after a severe case of child abuse in Oklahoma was discovered. A young boy was found wondering outside in the cold, prompting neighbors to call the police. Once police kicked in the door, a little girl was found  kept inside a wire dog crate, big enough for a medium sized dog. Authorities took three children from the home and into protective custody.

Breaking Dawn Part Two
Stars of the Twilight Saga were out in full force for the premiere of the last film in the series. Some fans had camped in a tent city outside the theater for five days for the opportunity to see the stars of the film. All of the popular film series' stars, as well as author of the Twilight books, Stephanie Meyer, were in attendance.  'Breaking dawn - part 2' hits theaters on November 16th.

Facebook Couples
If you are married or dating, your relationship may have moved to a new level that you didn't even know about. Facebook has taken information about users who are "in a relationship" and created a page for you, whether you want one or not. The page details your shared posts, events and photos you were both tagged in. Facebook calls it a new tool. One user said she was ready to break up with her husband on facebook just to end the shared page.

States Trying to Secede
We talked Monday about a group in Arkansas who have started a petition to secede from the US after the presidential election and apparently we're not the only state with like-minded residents. From New Jersey to Oregon, more than two dozen states have filed similar petitions. Tens of thousands of people are logging on to The White House website to tell them they don't want to be a part of the union any more, but as we said Monday, it's not going to happen. The constitution prevents any states from seceding from the US.
