A 10-year-old Colorado girl has been arrested after authorities say she brought medical marijuana to class.

It happened at Evans International Elementary School. The girl's father says he has a prescription for the pot and that his daughter stole it from his locked room... and will face the consequences.

The dad, who did not want to be identified, said they have court on December 12, " I have bonds and everything else to pay because of this... which she will actually be earning her keep."

She told her dad that she understands what she did was wrong and she said she plans to try to make things right.
