The Springdale Police Department, celebrating Thanksgiving with a "Turkey Trot". Hundreds of people from across the U.S. gathered at the Arvest Ballpark in Springdale to participate in a 5K run and a one-mile walk this morning. All the proceeds go towards officers on bereavement or who have to miss work because of an illness.

Taylor Johnson, Patrol Secretary at the Springdale Police department says "even before we had the registrants this morning, we had already raised a little over $7,000 so I think we'll probably be close to $7,500 or $8,000, and that's just awesome"

More than four hundred runners arrived for the run this year, compared to three hundred last year.
