NWA Haz-Mat Response Team Disbands

The Northwest Arkansas Regional Hazardous Materials response team officially disbanded Tuesday.
The Intergovernmental Council voted to disband the team after several fire departments from both Benton and Washington Counties left the response team.
The council also decided to move forward with a Benton County team, in which will bigger cities will receive a stipend to cover haz-mat response in smaller cities, as well as unincorporated areas of the county.
