The city of Fayetteville is moving forward with plans to restore two historic bridges.
The bridges cross over railroad tracks on Maple and Lafayette Streets.
Earlier this year the city received $1 million in federal aid to fix up the bridges.
According to engineers, a design contract is being negotiated right now, and will soon go before the city council, and construction will likely begin in 2014.
