Little Flock Mayor Considers Cutting Police Department

By: Kyle Leyenberger
Updated: November 27, 2012
The future of the Little Flock Police Department, or lack thereof, is up for discussion Tuesday night.

Mayor Buddy Blue is looking for ways to cut the budget, and says one option is for the Benton County Sheriff's Office to absorb the city's police force.

The committee met at city hall to discuss the option and decided to leave the department unchanged through 2013.

However, Mayor Blue says the city will move forward with budget cutting measures that will likely affect the Police Department more heavily because it makes up a majority of the budget.
