Blood supplies are extremely low, and the city of Fayetteville is doing something about it.

The Community Blood Center of the Ozarks has less than a two day supply of type O negative blood, so Fayetteville is hosting a blood drive at Drake Field Friday morning, and a second drive next week.

According to the CBCO, it takes more than 275 donations every day to meet the needs of area hospitals, and donations often slow down this time of year.

Earlier this week we spoke to the blood center about the need, to see that story, click here

The City's Blood drives will be held at the following times and locations, but if you can donate now, the number for the Community Blood Center of the Ozarks is 1-800-280-5337.

-   FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 30, 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Fayetteville Executive Airport, Drake Field, Terminal Bldg. at 4500 S. School Ave.
-   WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 5, 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. located on the South side of the Square across from the Town Center on Mountain Street.
